A judge has reduced bond for one of three defendants charged in connection with the slaying of Oakland County Sheriff’s Deputy Brad Reckling who was killed in Detroit while working undercover in June.

At a bond redetermination hearing in 36th District Court, Judge William McConico reduced bond from $250,000 to $100,000 cash with a 10% provision for Karim Blake Moore, which means he can be released from jail for now if he posts $10,000. A bond condition is electronic monitoring by GPS tether. The judge didn’t change the $1 million cash bond for co-defendant Marquis Lamar Goins, 18.

Moore, of Clinton Township, is charged with accessory after the fact to a felony, receiving and concealing a motor vehicle, four counts of carrying a concealed weapon, two counts of felony firearm, and conducting a criminal enterprise for the June 22 homicide. Goins, a Detroiter, is charged with accessory after the fact to a felony, receiving and concealing a motor vehicle, four counts of carrying a concealed weapon, three counts of felony firearm, carjacking, and conducting a criminal enterprise.

The alleged shooter, Raymone Raylee Debose, 18, of Clinton Township, is charged with murder of a peace officer, receiving and concealing a motor vehicle, four counts of carrying a concealed weapon, three counts of felony firearm, carjacking, and conducting a criminal enterprise. He’s denied bond.

Reckling, a nine-year veteran with the sheriff’s office, was fatally shot while reportedly tracking a Chevrolet Equinox — stolen that day from Red Oaks Waterpark in Madison Heights. Reckling reportedly spotted the SUV near Park Grove and Schoenherr in Detroit, and one of the occupants, later identified as Debose, allegedly fired a handgun from it, fatally striking the deputy. Debose and the SUV’s two other occupants — later identified as Goins and Moore — then reportedly fled. Oakland County Sheriff Mike Bouchard has described the shooting as an “ambush.”

The homicide investigation revealed an alleged “continuing criminal enterprise” that included multiple carjackings, stolen vehicles and weapons being carried in vehicles,  according to Wayne County Prosecutor Kym Worthy.

A probable cause conference for all three defendants is scheduled for Nov. 8, and a preliminary examination is scheduled for Nov. 14 before 36th District Judge Aliyah Sabree.
