A Farmington Hills man has pleaded no contest to a traffic crash which killed a motorcyclist from Orion Township last spring.
Adnan Ali Eltobji, 56, entered his plea Dec. 18 to a misdemeanor charge of moving violation causing death for the May 1 collision on North Lapeer Road near Oakwood Road in Oxford Township. The motorcyclist, Jimmie Haggadone, was thrown from his vehicle and landed in the road. Paramedics transported him to an area hospital where he was later pronounced dead. Haggadone was 66.

According to the Oakland County Sheriff’s Office, an investigation showed Eltobji failed to come to a complete stop at a flashing red traffic signal then turn right, into the path of Haggadone.
Haggadone’s wife, Lois, told The Oakland Press it was his only motorcycle crash in the several decades he’d been riding.
Eltobji is scheduled to be sentenced on Feb. 6 by Judge Nancy Carniak.
