A new undersheriff is among several promotions at the Oakland County Sheriff’s Office, announced Friday.
Captain Timothy Willis was chosen by Sheriff Mike Bouchard to serve as undersheriff, filling the vacancy created last December with the retirement of Curtis Childs. Bouchard also named Captain Russell Yeiser as major/chief of staff for his command staff, a position currently held by Major Christopher Wundrach who is retiring March 7 after 33 years of service.
“I congratulate and thank Undersheriff Curtis Childs and Major Christopher Wundrach on long and stellar careers and wish them the best in their next chapters,” Bouchard said. “I am also excited to promote these dedicated individuals who have distinguished themselves. One of the toughest things is to make selections out of an incredibly deep talent pool. I am confident they will continue to serve the sheriff’s office and the county well in the days ahead.”
