The case against a White Lake Township man accused of having sex with a 13-year-old runaway has advanced to Oakland County Circuit Court for possible trial.
Douglas Marcel Corbeau, 21, is charged with three counts of third-degree criminal sexual conduct, as well as harboring a runaway involving a Waterford Township girl. After he waived his right to a preliminary exam recently in 52-2 District Court, the case was bound over to the higher court. Arraignment is scheduled for March 14 before Judge Martha Anderson.
The charges against Corbeau stem from an alleged incident in January.
The Oakland Press typically doesn’t name alleged victims of criminal sexual assault, or minors purported to be victims or perpetrators of crimes.
Corbeau spent a few days in the Oakland County Jail after he was arrested on Jan. 16. He was released after posting 10 percent of a $25,000 bond.
