A 34-year-old Sterling Heights woman is accused of stealing narcotics from a Troy pharmacy where she was recently hired, police said.
According to the Troy Police Department, arraignment has not yet happened for the woman, alleged to have embezzled 100 tablets of generic Percocet from Health Hero Pharmacy at 4600 Investment Drive.
Officers were called to the business on March 4 after staff noticed the drugs were missing. Surveillance video shows the woman opening a drawer that she wasn’t supposed to have access to, then removing a small white bottle and placing it in her pocket, police said.
She reportedly admitted to officers that she brought the drugs home and took some of them, leading to her arrest.
Possible charges she’s facing are embezzlement and possession of narcotics.
