Investigators in Wixom announced the arrest of a Farmington Hills man described as a serial shoplifter.
Police allege the man was focused on stealing trading cards, and, already under surveillance, he was arrested at the Wixom Meijer store last week.
Officers and detectives from Wixom had the suspect under surveillance on Thursday, April 4, and they “had information suggesting the suspect would attempt to steal a large quantity of trading cards from the Wixom Meijer on the date in question,” police said in a release posted on its Facebook page.
Daniel Glenn Jackson, 35, of Farmington Hills, was arrested as he left the store on charges related to other instances of shoplifting.
Shortly afterwards, officers found an estimated $18,000 worth of trading cards in Jackson’s vehicle.

He has been charged with a felony charge of receiving and concealing stolen property valued between $1,000 and $20,000, jailed on a $10,000 cash or surety bond.
