The public is invited to learn about basic court functions and an overview of the 50th District Court judicial system in Pontiac on May 1.

It’s part of the National Judicial Outreach Initiative during the dedicated outreach week, and will be held from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the courthouse located at 60 N. Saginaw St., courtroom 101.

Developed by the American Bar Association Judicial Division, the National Judicial Outreach Week encourages judges across the United States to connect with their communities by hosting public engagement events, spotlighting judges’ roles in preserving the rule of law, and building public trust and confidence in the judicial system.

The 50th District Court event coincides with Law Day, held annually on May 1.
