Arraignment was held Wednesday for a felon accused of murdering his brother in Farmington Hills last weekend.
Fredrick Delano Logan, 30, is charged with second-degree murder, felon in possession of a firearm and two counts of felony firearm in connection with the May 25 slaying of 28-year-old Ricky Williams, III.

According to Farmington Hills Police Chief Jeff King, the men’s mother called 911 to report her sons were involved in an argument which led to the older one shooting the younger one at her home on Saratoga Circle, near 11 Mile and Halsted roads. Logan fled the scene but was arrested the next day in Warren, with assistance from police there.
Williams was transported to a local hospital where he died from his injuries. As stated on a Go Fund Me page to help Williams’ mother, Williams was an artist “who had a passion for animals and chose a career as a dog trainer. He exemplified all that was good in the world.”
Logan is held in the Oakland County Jail, denied bond. His next court appearance is scheduled for June, for a pre-exam conference before Judge Marla Parker.
According to the Michigan Department of Corrections, Logan’s prior convictions include attempted larceny in a building and possession of a firearm by a felon in Wayne County.
