The last person hospitalized after being shot on June 15 at the Brooklands Plaza splash pad is home again.

Oakland County Sheriff’s officials shared the news late Friday. The 39-year-old Rochester Hills mother was reunited with her family after suffering serious injuries trying to protect her children from the gunman. She was shot multiple times. Her 8-year-old son, shot in the head, was released on June 28 and her 4-year-old-son, also injured, was released earlier. Six other adults were injured in the shooting. None of the shooting survivors are being identified by police.

“While we are incredibly pleased all shooting victims have been released from the hospital, we know there is a long road ahead on both the physical and psychological healing,” said Sheriff Michael Bouchard. “Our support will remain with the victims, and we will continue to look for any information that gives insight into the motive of the shooter.”

The shooter,  identified as Michael William Nash, 42, of Shelby Township, died by suicide afterl County Sheriff’s Office deputies surrounded the mobile home he shared with his mother. She was not present at the time.

The incident remains under investigation.
