The Oakland County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the fatal shooting of two men in Pontiac on Tuesday.
The names of the victims have not yet been released pending notification of next of kin, but they are described as a 20-year-old who was pronounced dead at the scene, and a 24-year-old, who was transported to an area hospital where he died a short time later, the sheriff’s office said.
The shootings happened shortly after 8 a.m. in an apartment in the 100 block of North Sanford Street near Fiddis Avenue, the sheriff’s office said. Deputies were dispatched to the residence in response to a 911 call reporting gunshots, the sheriff’s office said.
