A man and woman spent Christmas behind bars after they were accused of of breaking into more than 20 storage units in Eastpointe, according to police.
City police said Charles Henry Cleary and Angila Mary Miller were arrested last week by a detective and Special Investigations Units. They were arraigned Friday in 38th District Court.
“The two are thought to be responsible for over 20 thefts in storage units in the southwest area of our city,” police said in a social media post. “We also recovered a large amount of what is thought to be stolen property from a home in Detroit.”

Cleary, 43, and Miller, 38, were charged with breaking and entering a building with intent and possession of burglar’s tools.
Court records show Cleary was also charged with possession of a controlled substance. Miller has arrest warrants from Detroit, Troy and Warren, according to court filings.
Authorities set bond for Clearly at $150,000 and $50,000 for Miller. They are being held in the Macomb County Jail in Mount Clemens.
“Great collaborative work by our detectives and patrol officers to locate and arrest these suspects,” police said in a statement.
