A Detroit woman is accused of assaulting a man at a Ferndale bar and police officers at the station after her arrest.

Darian Walker-Eagle, 30, is jailed on a $1,500 cash bond in the case following her arraignment Saturday, and she requested a court-appointed attorney.

She faces two felony counts of resisting and obstructing police, and a misdemeanor for the assault at the bar.

Evan Ahlin, a spokesman for Ferndale police, said officers were called to Danny’s Irish Pub, 22824 Woodward Ave., about 5:45 p.m. Friday on a report of an injured man there

“On arrival, officers saw and identified the victim, a Hazel Park man,” Ahlin said. “He was transported to a nearby hospital.”

Ahlin would not disclose some details of the case, including the Hazel Park man’s age.

“She basically assaulted him,” Ahlin said, “It sounds like she pushed him, and he fell and suffered a head injury.”

Walker-Eagle is charged with aggravated assault on the man, a one-year misdemeanor.

Police investigated the incident, speaking to witnesses and reviewing surveillance video before identifying Walker-Eagle as the suspect and arresting her.

“An officer concluded the incident originated over an argument that escalated between the victim” and the suspect, Ahlin said.

Walker-Eagle was ultimately charged with the two felonies against police for her actions after officers got her to the police station.

“At the station she became combative and assaulted two police officers during the booking process,” Ahlin said.

Each of the two resisting and obstructing charges against her is punishable by up to two years in prison and a $2,000 fine.

The officers suffered no serious injuries, Ahlin added.

Eagle has no prior record with the Michigan Department of Corrections, according to its public records.

She was still being held in Oakland County Jail on her $1,500 cash bond as of Monday evening.

If she posts bond, she is prohibited from using any drugs or alcohol and will have to undergo random tests for any prohibited substances. Walker-Eagle is further prohibited from having any contact with Danny’s Irish Pub or the man she is accused of assaulting.

She is scheduled to appear in Ferndale 43rd District Court for a probably cause conference at 1 p.m. May 30.
